Snoring Mouthpiece

Snoring mouthpieces are FDA approved. When used correctly a snoring mouthpiece can effectively treat snoring.

Snoring mouthpieces are worn while you sleep. The mouthpiece advances the lower jaw and keeps air flowing while you sleep.

Benefits of a snoring mouthpiece:

  • treats moderate to severe snoring
  • safe, proven, FDA approved
  • comfortable and custom fitting
  • easy to use, and effective immediately
  • promotes deeper sleep for you and your partner

Is a snoring mouthpiece comfortable?

Snoring mouthpieces from Sausalito Dentistry are custom fit for comfort. The snoring mouth piece is painless, non-invasive, and affordable. With a snoring mouthpiece you can sleep in any position, drink water, and talk.

It's just a piece of plastic, why do I need to get this appliance from a dentist?

Sleeping with the lower jaw positioned open and forward for the duration of sleep is generally safe and effective. But, considering the jaw will be in this position for at least 6 hours every night--the potential exists for development of tissue irritation, changes in fit, changes in tooth and bite position, and jaw joint problems. To remain safe over the duration of use, and to minimized potential side effects, these appliances must be monitored by a dentist experienced in designing, fitting, and adjusting them.

How do I get a snoring mouthpiece?

Custom made snoring mouthpieces are only available through qualified dental professionals. Sausalito Dentistry can custom fit a snoring mouthpiece for you. The snoring mouthpiece takes about 2-3 weeks to make. Simply contact Sausalito Dentistry at 415-331-5656 and ask about our snoring mouthpiece treatment. Dr. Lee or Dr. Atkinson will meet with you and explain how to use your snoring mouthpiece.

Is a snoring mouthpiece covered by medical insurance?

Snoring mouthpieces are typically not covered by medical insurance. Some appliances may be covered by dental insurance as guards against teeth clenching and grinding. If your snoring is associated with a diagnosis of sleep apnea from a sleep physician, medical insurance coverage may be available for your mouthpiece.

Sausalito Dentistry has been serving the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years.
